Central Westchester Indivisible
Newsletter #12 - April 10, 2026
What are you most angry about?
The possibilities seem endless: Trump’s reckless and foolish war in Iran and the thousands of people killed or wounded, billions of dollars wasted that could have been spent on health care, housing, clean energy and [fill in what you consider to be the most important unmet needs], higher prices for food and energy, and the huge amount of pollution (think about the fires burning from all the energy infrastructure that’s been bombed in Iran and elsewhere).
Or maybe you’re most upset about Trump’s brutal attack on immigrants to this country, and his plans to set up detention centers, and continue to violate human rights, the Rule of Law and basic morality. Or, his many other attacks on the Rule of Law, including blatant corruption, such as the Trump family making billions of dollars off of cryptocurrency, deals in the Middle East, selling pardons, and who knows what we’ll discover over time. Maybe you’re most upset about the devastating impact on the environment because Trump is doing his best to decimate the wind and solar industries while promoting coal and oil and reducing emissions limits on the coal and oil industries.
Please tell us which issues you think are most important and how you think Central Westchester Indivisible should address those issues. Join us as we use our new committees to discuss priorities and address various federal, state and local issues. You can reach us at cwindivisible@gmail.com. Or, join us at our local rally this Sunday at 1:00 at Richard Presser Park in Hartsdale. Please bring signs that tell the community what you’re angry about and what you think should be different, and talk to members of CWI and others about what we can all do.
In addition to our weekly rallies in Hartsdale, we’re also working with Indivisible and other national organizations on two major events. First, on April 25 you can join allies around the country for the Communities Not Cages National Day of Action, non-violent and peaceful local actions supporting immigrants. To prepare for April 25, you can join Indivisible, Detention Watch Network and Disappeared in America on April 14 for a one-hour national training call when you can learn tactics and strategies to hold peaceful actions supporting immigrants in our community. Register here for the call.
Next, plans are developing quickly for the major May Day Strong events on May Day. We’ll be providing more information on May Day Strong in future newsletters.
As usual, see the Other Opportunities section below. And, if you are not a CWI member yet, and want to join us, please click here.
