National Indivisible: What’s the Plan?
The national Indivisible team shared a helpful summary from this week’s “What’s the Plan?” Zoom call with Leah and Ezra. We strongly encourage members to join these calls live when possible or catch up through the recordings or podcast. Here’s the summary:
We need your input on an urgent issue:
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is currently funded only through February 13, and Congress is negotiating how to fund the agency for the remainder of the year. HEALTH CARE FOR ALL: NEW YORK HEALTH ACT (NYHA)
Health care for all remains a critical, ongoing issue, and it is important that we stay informed and up to date on this bill. Here is a link to a very informative Town Hall conducted by Ulster activists on the New York Health Act (NYHA). The discussion is both moving and informative and provides helpful context on legislation that has been in the New York State Legislature for several years and continues to move closer to passage.
In addition to the recording, the organizers have shared:
A flyer about the New York Health Act
A one-page set of talking points to support outreach and conversations:
If you have questions about the Town Hall or the New York Health Act, you may contact: Melanie D’Arrigo: Melanie@nyhcampaign.org or Richard Gottfried: RichardGottfried@gmail.com

UPDATES FROM CENTRAL WESTCHESTER INDIVISIBLE
We are currently developing our goals and vision and welcome feedback and ideas from our members. We are also planning our first general meeting, expected to take place in early March. In addition, we are preparing for a strong Central Westchester presence at the March 28 No Kings mobilization and laying the groundwork for future actions.
CWI continues to grow. We now have 201 members, and that number is rising quickly. A strong, visible presence matters — especially as we continue urging elected officials to stand up to the Trump administration and defend democratic values. We are also in the process of launching our own website and will share access details soon, hopefully before the next newsletter.
In solidarity,
Central Westchester Indivisible
